Striped Essential Fog Tee + Mabel Dress
27—October 2021
This week we whip up two essential wardrobe pieces — our Fog Tee and Mabel Dress in classic stripes!
There are very few staple garments that stand the test of trends like classic striped knits! Think Hepburn-worthy Breton tees, utilitarian sailor-style sweaters, and wardrobe staple wear-everyday tanks, dresses and turtlenecks. Our new shipment of knitted fabrics offered the perfect opportunity for us to add two timeless Fog and Mabel makes to our wardrobe - hello stripey goodness! Kindly modelled below by Priyanka and Annelise from our HQ team.
Our Make by TFS Mabel Dress — Reversible Stripe Ponte Knit - Navy
We made up a size 10 Make by TFS Mabel Dress for Priyanka, and this used about 1.7m of our 160cm wide deadstock Reversible Stripe Ponte Knit - Navy. This fabric has a structured handle which gives the Mabel a modern, playful silhouette, and its cool smooth finish feels amazing on. We chose short tee-length sleeves for a casual feel, and can picture this on high rotation this summer paired with sandals and a sunhat!
Our Make by TFS Fog Tee — Natural Cotton Stripe Jersey - Red
We chose a size 10 Fog Tee for Annelise, which is a couple of sizes up for her, and we love this slouchy oversized fit! The Fog Tee's Boatneck view was a perfect match for our nautical red stripe using 1.2m of the 168cm wide deadstock Natural Cotton Stripe Jersey - Red. This looks super-chic thrown over a slip dress, or makes an easy pairing with our Make by TFS Cass Pants!

Clockwise from top left is Cotton Jersey - Amethyst, Cotton Jersey - Daffodil, Cotton 1x1 Rib Tube - Amaranth, Cotton 1x1 Rib Tube - Mandarin, Cotton 1x1 Rib Tube - Powder Blue and Cotton Jersey - Parakeet
