Lucie Robe in Heavyweight Linen
21—July 2020
The Lucie Robe makes up so beautifully in our Heavyweight Linens! Check out our Deep Olive and Navy versions below.
If you haven't already heard, we're making sewing patterns!
It's been a longtime dream of our team to create our own small range of home sewing patterns and we are SO excited to finally be able to share a sneak peak of what we're working on in the form of our very first pattern, the Lucie Robe!
Make by TFS has evolved from our desire to encourage as many people as possible to sew their own clothing, a natural extension of our sustainable and ethical business values and our design-driven philosophy. Our patterns are being created end-to-end by our small Auckland-based team and will be available as PDF downloads from our Online Store initially.
We LOVE how the Lucie Robe looks and feels in Heavyweight Linen so much, that this week on the blog we decided to make up a couple more for our HQ team members Des and Mitch! Check out how these turned out, as well as details on the fit adjustments, below.
Mitch (185cm tall, 101cm chest) wears the Lucie Robe in size B, with no alterations in Heavyweight Linen - Navy!
Des (193cm tall, 104cm chest) wears the Lucie Robe in size C in Deep Olive. We chose the size C to give Des a nice slouchy fit, and added 15cm to the hem length, 5cm to the sleeve length and 2.5cm to the pocket bag depth!
We love how these robes turned out! The alterations to length for Des were super easy as the robe features straight hems and 90 angled side seams. Heavyweight Linen gives these robes ultra-luxe house coat vibes and there are loads of beautiful tones to pick from in store and online, like Vintage Blush, Duck Egg and Paprika below.
